Tracking hearings and markups for a specific committee or subcommittee is crucial for staying informed about legislative developments. This guide will walk you through how to efficiently monitor updates, including transcripts, proprietary coverage, and voting outcomes.
Steps to Track Hearings & Markups
1. Navigate to the top-right corner of the page and select Advanced Search.
2. Under the "Documents & Analysis" section, choose Committee Coverage and Hot Docs as your sources.
3. Select Committees as your criterion and choose the specific committee or subcommittee you want to track.
4. Alternatively, choose Bills as your subtopic and select the bills you want to monitor.
5. Click Search to view the results.
6. In the upper-right corner of the results page, click Save as Alert.
7. You will now receive email alerts for:
- Released transcripts of hearings.
- CQ’s proprietary coverage of markups.
- Recorded votes and other relevant updates.
By following these steps, you can stay ahead with comprehensive and timely information on legislative proceedings.
