Engage collects statistics on activities that your advocates take on Engagements. We will display some of these analytics on your Engage dashboard. They include Engagement type (Write a Letter, Make a Call, etc.), platform (Engage pages, plugins, or the Connect API), device (mobile, tablet, non-mobile), and referrer (email, Facebook, Twitter, Engage, Google, and Other).
You can also use this information in your custom Activity Reports. You can include Referrer Type, Referrer URL, Device, and Platform Type as fields in your report download.
"Action from device type" and "action referred by" can be used as search criteria when building your Activity report.
If you're interested in information on all visitors to your Engage site (not just related to actions taken) we recommend adding Google Analytics to your Engage account.
If you don't already have a Google Analytics account you can find information on getting started here. If you already have a Google Analytics you'll start by creating a new Property for your Engage site.
Visit Tracking Info > Tracking Code in your new Property's admin and select and copy the Global Site Tag.
Next, return to your Engage Theme page. If you are using one of Engage's out-of-the-box themes (Engagement, Advocacy, or Association theme) you'll scroll to the bottom of the page and paste your Google tag in the "Global Bottom-of-Page Markup" field and scroll back to the top of the page to click the "Publish" button.
If you are using an Engage Custom Theme you will need to use your SFTP editor to add the Google tag directly to your theme files.
After the tags are installed you'll be able to analyze your site traffic in your Google Analytics account.
