How to Add a Coronavirus Information Center to Your Engage Website's Menu
1) Hover over Sites in the menu, click Standard Pages, then click Create New Page:
2) CQ Engage will provide a pop-up window with formatting options. Give your Coronavirus Information Center a Page Name and choose your URL ending. We suggest "Coronavirus Updates" and CoronavirusUpdates, respectively. Next, choose your page layout. Page layout predetermines how and where your information can be presented with preset boundaries for all of your content. For simplicity, we recommend Layout 1. Click Submit when finished:
3) Engage will redirect you to your Standard Pages landing page. Next, begin adding your content. If you already have multiple action items for your community to participate in, add a List of Engagements in the top module by selecting "Featured Items". Click here to learn more about Lists and Featured Items. Click Add Module when done:
4.) We recommend using a Custom Content module to share the most important updates your community should be aware of. First, give your audience an overview of the Coronavirus Updates section. Other items to consider including are fly-in schedule updates, directions to government resources, and links to important news articles:
5.) Add other modules for content that you need to share, such as a List of Bills that your organization is monitoring. Click here to learn how to find bills and add them to a List. When done adding content, click "Publish Page" on the top right, and your page will be ready to add to your Engage website's menu.
6.) To add Your Corona Virus Updates page to your CQ Engage website's menu, hover over Sites from the menu, click Menus, and select your Primary menu if it is not auto-selected. The page should read "This is my primary navigation" at the top:
7.) Next, Add "Coronavirus Updates", or choose the title you gave your Page, from the available Pages in the right hand selection menu by clicking the [+] sign. Click Save Menu when done:
You can adjust the sequence of your Menu Pages with CQ Engage's drag-and-drop feature. Click and hold your mouse or keypad on your menu item to change the sequence or add it to a list of drop-down menu items. Once done customizing your menu sequence, that's it! You have successfully added a Coronavirus Information Center for your organization to your Engage website.
