Saving a transcript as a PDF allows you to easily download, share, and store a permanent copy of congressional hearing and markup transcripts for your records or reference. CQ makes it simple to export transcripts in a printer-friendly format.
This article will walk you through the quick steps to save any transcript as a PDF file directly from the platform.
1. In CQ Federal App, go to the "Research" tab, then "Transcripts" to see transcript logs.
2. You will be then routed to the Transcript Schedules Page. You can search for the hearings or events, whether released in the past, set to be released in the future, or coming on the same day. In this example, we are trying to look for a House Appropriations hearing that happened on March 9th at 9:30 am.
3. Once you locate the specific transcript log, click on "Print," choose "Save as PDF" from the "Destination" dropdown, then hit on 'Save as PDF.'
4. You should be able to save the file to your local computer drive.
